Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE)

An Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE) is a private assessment by a professional who does not work for your child’s school. An IEE can help parents advocate for their child’s best interest.

AxIS provides IEE services in the form of a Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA). AxIS’ IEEs are conducted by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. This type of assessment aims to identify behaviors impacting the student in the classroom and to determine the reason why those behaviors are happening. An FBA is then used to develop a Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) to support the student in building skills needed to be successful in the classroom.

AxIS is a registered Non-Public Agency (NPA) with the California Department of Education (CDE).
